Emser Tile Floor Riser: A Sleek, Sample-Ready Display Built to Reorder

Main Takeaways

Franklin translated Emser Tile's concept for a floor-standing sample riser into a sleek, all-metal engineered design.

The client specifically called out the sleekness of the design and the laser-cut logo detail as standout features.

Franklin has produced thousands of these units across multiple purchase orders, and continues to do business with Emser Tile today.

The Overview

Emser Tile came to Franklin with a familiar retail fixture in mind: a low, floor-standing riser used to lean and display large-format tile and stone samples, the kind shoppers page through at a tile showroom. The client had seen a wood version of this style of unit and wanted Franklin's take on building it in metal — something more durable, more on-brand, and easier to reproduce at volume.

The Solution

Franklin's design team sketched a metal-tube version of the riser, translating the wood concept into a powder-coated tube, sheet metal, and wire structure with a tight bend radius for a clean, minimal profile. The client responded immediately to the sleekness of the design and, in particular, to the laser-cut “Emser Tile” logo detail on the base panel — a feature that became a signature element of the finished piece.

Compact footprint: 26.3″W x 30″D x 14″H — sized to rest directly on the showroom floor.

Available in multiple finish options, including the black finish shown in production.

Built to Reorder

Franklin has produced thousands of these units for Emser Tile across multiple purchase orders since the program launched — and the two companies continue to do business together today. It's a case study less about a single big shipment and more about a design simple and durable enough to become a standing part of Emser's in-store toolkit, ordered again and again.
